APPGAL has been established to promote cross cultural and political understanding between our respective parliamentarians. Additionally, we hope to foster a renewed, strengthened relationship between the UK and the Arab world by facilitating dialogue and co-operation. As a forum of discussion the group looks forward to sending delegations to the Arab League Headquarters in Cairo and promoting bi-lateral business opportunities.

I am honoured to oversee the formation and development of the new All Party Parliamentary Group Arab League and look forward to building on the already existing foundations of our relationship with the UK.  This ushers in an exciting new era in which the Arab world seeks to become more engaged with the UK’s political mainstream.
